Are you (or someone you know) interested in undertaking doctoral studies
THE UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND?

The Anthropology program at the University of Queensland invites
applications for a workshop to "pitch" PhD project ideas and receive
information and guidance on the application process at this university.

Up to $500.00 per person is available in travel bursaries to support
attendance by applicants currently living outside Brisbane. Travel funding
is available for up to 10 persons.

When: Friday 27th September 2013
Where: The University of Queensland, St. Lucia
What: Workshop and lunch

The day program will include a session where prospective students "pitch"
their project ideas, a meeting with staff of the anthropology program, a
workshop by School Post Graduate Studies Committee Chair on scholarship
application writing, and a detailed discussion of draft research
proposals.

The EOI should include the following:

* a one page outline of the proposed project including
research questions

* proposed supervisor/s at UQ (please see list of staff and
research interest here:
http://www.socialscience.uq.edu.au/staff#anthropology )

* statement of eligibility for doctoral studies at UQ/ CV

* If applying for the travel bursary, a brief budget must also
be provided
