Hello,

In my capacity as Canadian President of WAHS, or the World Association of
Hallyu Studies (Hallyu refers to the Korean Wave or Korean transnational
culture flows) I have been asked to put together panel/s of Canadian
scholars (this includes people based at Canadian universities) to present
papers at the International World Association of Hallyu Congress being
held Oct 17-19 in Seoul. Presenters on this panel will have hotels and
meals paid for by WAHS (airfare must be sought from other sources). If
interested please respond to me and send 250 word abstract by email at;
millie.creighton@ubc.ca<mailto:millie.creighton@ubc.ca>

Additionally, WAHS has several student essay and research paper prizes for
both undergrad and graduate students to award, and entries may be
submitted until August 30, 2013 (check WAHS website for details). Student
prize winners will receive airfare, hotels, and meals for the 2013 WAHS
