Information for all anthropologists and ethnologists worldwide
The IUAES needs your support! The IUAES is the most comprehensive and all
encompassing world forum of and for our discipline. For the IUAES to serve
the interests of the world community of anthropologists and ethnologists,
it needs all anthropologists/ethnologists worldwide to sign up for
individual membership. We've therefore revised our individual membership
application/renewal process, subscription rates and collection methods: •
Individual member subscriptions will be annual – at least until the 17th
International Congress due to be held in Manchester in 2013.
• Subscriptions will be payable by PayPal or bank transfer, except in
exceptional circumstances.
• Individual membership rates, specified in GBP (£) - since the IUAES bank
account is now based in Britain - will be linked to the self-declared
annual gross income of the member as of 1st January each year, and as
calculated below:
For those earning ≤£10,000 p.a. (including students), the annual
subscription is now £7
For those earning between £10,000 and £20,000 p.a. the annual subscription
is now £10
For those earning between £20,000 and £30,000 p.a. the annual subscription
is now £16
For those earning >£30,000 per annum, the annual subscription is now £23
Life membership (regardless of income) is £575
We call upon all anthropologists and ethnologists in all countries to
become members of the IUAES for 2011, by visiting www.iuaes.org, clicking
on Membership, and completing the online form.
Membership carries with it the benefit that you are able to register for
IUAES congresses, intercongresses, and other IUAES events.
