Lisbon, 25-28 July
CALL FOR PAPERS
Dear colleagues,
as the deadline is approaching we would like to remind you again of
the panel and screening series that we are organizing for the coming
ECSAS 2012, the 22nd European Conference on South Asian Studies,
Lisbon, 25-28 July.
Aiming to provoke the logic that has characterized conventional
visual gazes upon South Asia we invite papers, films and other forms
of visual essays that are approaching the subcontinent as a place to
"look from" rather than to "look at".
While the papers will be presented within the structure of a regular
panel the films will be shown on the evenings within the framework of
a screening series.
Deadline for paper proposal 27 January, 2012.
