Departmental Lecturership in Modern Chinese Politics and Society
University Grade 7: £28,983 - £35,646 per annum
Applications are invited for a fixed-term position in Modern Chinese
Politics and Society, to commence on 1 September 2010 for one year,
pending the release of the permanent University Lecturership.
The principal duties of the post are to provide cover for teaching and
administration in Modern Chinese Studies during the academic year
2010-2011, to examine and to supervise. Candidates must hold a
doctorate in one or more aspects of the politics and society of modern
China with specialist expertise in Politics, International Relations,
Anthropology, Sociology, Human Geography and/or Economics; be able to
demonstrate that they can teach the subject at undergraduate and
graduate level; and be willing to co-operate in the organisation of
the subject.
