LA LUTTE DES MOBILITÉS. CATÉGORIES ADMINISTRATIVES ET ANTHROPOLOGIQUES DE LA MIGRATION PRÉCAIRE Michel Agier 1 novembre 2017 https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/scpa/events.html?campus=sgw Le Centre pour l'évaluation des politiques d'immigration (CEPI), en collaboration avec ACSALF 2149 MacKay St. Concordia University, Montreal   La conférence confrontera les catégories administratives du gouvernement des migrations et les catégories anthropologiques de la mobilité. En partant d'une analyse critique de la "scène de la demande d'asile" et de l'impossible définition du bon "réfugié" versus le mauvais "migrant" (un thème qui évoque aussi bien la situation française que canadienne), Michel Agier proposera des alternatives anthropologiques à partir d'une synthèse de ses enquêtes ethnographiques en Afrique, au Proche-Orient et en Europe : trois concepts permettent de décrire et comprendre les migrations précaires contemporaines, celles d'errant, de métèque et de paria. Puis il s'interrogera sur les horizons possibles, notamment politiques et juridiques, de la lutte des mobilités qui se déploie à l'échelle planétaire. Michel Agier est anthropologue, Directeur de Recherche à l'Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) et Directeur d'Études à l'École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). Ses recherches et enseignements portent sur les relations entre la mondialisation humaine, les conditions et lieux de l'exil, et la formation de nouveaux contextes urbains. Il est coordinateur d'un nouveau programme de recherche sélectionné par l'Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR), « BABELS, la ville comme frontière. Ce que les villes font aux migrants, ce que les migrants font à la ville » (2016-2018). Cet événement est co-organisé par l'Association canadienne des sociologues et anthropologues de langue française (ACSALF), une association sans but lucratif regroupant des sociologues et des anthropologues d'expression française du Canada. L'association a pour objectif de favoriser les échanges au sein de ces deux disciplines et d'en faire la promotion.
