1.
Workshop: Reframing Intersectionality in Critical Race Theory

June 14-17th, Brownsover Hall Hotel, Rugby, UK

http://www.brownsoverhall.co.uk/

Led by Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw and Professor Devon Carbado

We are running a three day workshop that will bring together scholars
engaged in discussions of intersectionality in the field of Black
Studies and Critical Race Theory. This event will feature a range of
scholarly exploration and analysis on this topic, discussions led by
Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw and Professor Devon Carbado. The aim of
the event is to work towards creating an edited volume Reframing
Intersectionality to be part of the Blackness in Britain book series
published by Rowman and Littlefield International.

At Professor Crenshaw's request the numbers attending the event will
be strictly limited and there are only 8 places available.

Attendees will be invited to contribute to this workshop and
publication. If you want to attend you are invited to prepare a paper
of at least 1500 words on an intersectionality topic to circulate by
Monday 30th May and to deliver a presentation for discussion. However,
you are not required to submit a paper to attend. This is a unique
opportunity to work closely with colleagues on an important
intellectual project and build networks for future work.

Price: £345 inclusive of accommodation and food (lunch from 14th to
breakfast on the 17th inclusive) during the 3 day event. You can book
by following this link, whilst there are still places remaining
