ANTHROPOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

ANTHROPOLOGY INSTRUCTOR ? Competition Number 08-XX

The Anthropology Department invites applications for a full-time regular
position in Cultural Anthropology for September 1, 2008. Candidates will
have an outstanding teaching record in the general areas of social and
cultural anthropology, a good record of research accomplishments,
curriculum development skills, and a commitment to the development of the
department. The successful candidate will have the expertise and ability
to teach Introduction to Social and Cultural Anthropology, Methods and
Ethics in Anthropology, Cross-Cultural Women?s Studies, Culture and the
Environment, and Anthropological Theory. The ability to teach courses in
Medical Anthropology will be an asset. A PhD in Anthropology is
preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates who are ABD.

The Anthropology Department at Kwantlen University College currently
offers a two-year Associate of Arts degree, and has developed a four-year
Anthropology minor within Kwantlen?s Bachelor of Arts degree (expected
launch Sept. 2008).

Kwantlen's Office of Research and Scholarship, and four research
institutes support Kwantlen?s faculty and students in their ongoing

vitae, teaching statement, copies of transcripts of all degrees, peer and
student reviews, a representative sample (max. 10 pages) of your recent
scholarly work, and the names of three referees. Please forward your
