SUNTA invites nominations for the inaugural Senior Scholar Award in urban,
national and transnational anthropology.
This award recognizes an outstanding academic with regard to their
scholarly publications, teaching, mentoring, service to urban, national and
transnational anthropology, and contributions to public debates. An award
of $ 250 will be offered to the winner.
Please send a letter of nominations for a scholar to the chair of the award
committee, Petra Kuppinger<mailto:petra@monm.edu> by June 20, 2016. The
letter of nomination should include a copy of the nominee's CV. The
nomination should further include at least two additional letters from the
nominee's students and/or scholarly peers.
The winner will be honored at the 2016 AAA meeting in Minneapolis where
he/she will also give a brief presentation at the SUNTA business meeting.
