Royal Anthropological Institute's Anthropology of Sport Photo Contest

The
RAI's
Anthropology
of
Sport
photo
contest
aims
to:

* promote public engagement with the RAI's Education Outreach Programme

* provide a platform for people to share their work and become actively
involved in

anthropology

* initiate activities and events in relation to the London 2012 Olympics and

Paralympics

* develop awareness of the anthropology of sport and facilitate communication

between practitioners working in media, arts, sports and social sciences

The submissions we are looking for:

Engaging photographs that explore cross-cultural and human elements of
sport in

relation to the following categories:1) Globalization 2) Identity and 3)
The Body.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to anyone interested in anthropology, photography
and sport.

What do contestants win?

All short-listed and winning contestants will have their work published in
RAI educational materials. In addition, for each thematic category a £50
gift voucher will be awarded to the winning photograph.

Deadline for submissions 10th December 2010
